Mushin (無心), indicating an empty_open mind, in cursive sosho script. #Calligraphy (via @zenincolor@mastodon.social, profile)

Black ink brush calligraphy on off-white paper. A single large, bold character fills most of the center. Its top has a thick, angular horizontal stroke with a blunt, flared end on the left and a rounded, tapering end on the right. A long vertical stroke drops from the upper right, bends into a thick, wavy form in the middle, and ends in a sweeping hook that curls back on itself at the bottom right. The brushwork shows dry-brush streaks and varied thickness. To the lower left is a vertical column of smaller cursive black characters, which appears to be the artist's signature, and below it is a small red square seal stamp.
