We went for dim sum and were lucky enough to see a lion dance! (I used to squeal “Lion Dance! Lion Dance” when I was little. They were my favourite thing.)

It was a long day of feeding the starter and then making the dough. It’s been shaped, put in its proofing basket, and now it’s going into the fridge for an overnight ferment.
I used to bake a loaf of sourdough every week before I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. All these years, I’ve been keeping my Grandmother’s starter (more on that later) alive but not doing anything with it. I’ve decided to start baking again and just give the bread away.
