Today was a baking day #Sourdough #Bread

A round, rustic artisan loaf sits on a silver wire cooling rack on a speckled granite countertop. The crust is deep golden brown with darker, caramelized patches, and its surface is dusted with flour. The top is slashed with irregular, overlapping cuts that opened into pale, ridged flaps, and a small opening in one score reveals the airy, open crumb inside. In the blurred background are kitchen items: a dark mortar and pestle on the left, a glass jar with a red lid, a dark wine bottle, a red appliance, and a green and white bowl in the upper right corner.
