Two large textured red heart sculptures in a dark base stand before a glass-fronted building with a sloped glass roof reflecting clouds. Above the entrance, black text reads “UX-ARTS DE MONTRÉAL” beside a multicolored M logo and “THE MONTREAL MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS.” A vertical pillar on the right shows white text “Entrée.” The glass door displays the number “1380.” Two metal structures extend above the entrance, and a metal railing leads to the doorway.A vertical painting in an ornate gold frame on a lavender wall shows a woman in a wide black hat and dark patterned coat with a ruffled purple skirt, standing among yellow and orange leaves on the ground and in the background. She looks back over her shoulder. A small rectangular label with text is mounted to the right of the frame.A person in dark clothing sits on a red stool at the base of a wide marble staircase in a grand hall with arched stone walls and ornate railings. Several people ascend the stairs toward a wall displaying the text “Chiharu Shiota.” A large hanging installation of pale threads or cords is suspended above the text. Warm light from hanging lamps and ceiling fixtures illuminates the scene.A large sculpture of twisting yellow, red, blue, and clear glass tendrils rising from a yellow base, resembling a burst, centered on a circular white platform in a gallery with a coffered ceiling and glass railings. A small rectangular plaque with multiple lines of text sits on the platform in front.
