Saw a show called The Art of Michael K. Frith: From Pencil to Puppet at the Bermuda National Gallery. I got to see a Scooter muppet!

A museum display featuring a framed Dr. Seuss illustration and several sketches and book pages. On the left, a white-framed drawing depicts the Cat in the Hat with a tall red and white striped hat and a red bow tie, accompanied by handwritten rhyming text. Below the drawing is a small white placard with printed information. On the right, a glass case contains multiple items: at the top, a yellow lined paper with pencil sketches of animals, including a lion, fish, and bird, with the text "Some of us WALK ... some FLY ... some SWIM." Next to it is a colourful book cover reading “Some of us WALK Some FLY Some SWIM” with illustrations of animals moving in different ways. Below, an open book shows a page with a large illustrated hippopotamus and the words “Some are THIN and some are FAT. He is two thousand chickens fat!” along with abstract red and white line art on the facing page. Beneath the book are a blue paper labeled “Dr. Seuss” and a black and white photograph showing two people talking in an office or studio setting. A small black descriptive placard is mounted inside the case. The display is well-lit against a plain grey wall.A museum display features a Muppet character named Scooter standing inside a clear protective case. Scooter is an orange puppet with orange hair, large round white eyes with black pupils, and a wide smiling mouth. He is wearing a shiny green satin jacket with yellow cuffs, blue jeans, and red sneakers with white soles. He is holding a clipboard and a red pencil, appearing as if taking notes. The case is mounted on a black platform with a white pedestal underneath. The background shows a museum exhibit with posters, sketches, and photos related to The Muppet Show. Behind the display, a large panel with the title “THE MUPPET SHOW” provides information, and another panel shows colourful images of Muppet characters performing. To the right of the pedestal, a descriptive plaque includes a paragraph of text about Scooter along with several blue sketches of his head drawn in different angles and expressions.A sheet of yellow lined paper with five hand-drawn character sketches of cartoonish, anthropomorphic creatures resembling the Fraggle Rock characters. Each sketch is drawn in black ink with accompanying handwritten notes. The top left drawing shows a creature standing upright with a neutral expression, wearing no clothes; the note reads “Gobo: Shirt/jacket (hat collection?).” To the right, another creature looks down with a hat and scarf, labeled “Boober – hat & scarf.” Below, a lively character is mid-step with arms spread, wearing a long shirt; the note says “Wembley – endless (more or less) combo (trying to please – ‘Right. I hated it too!’).” On the bottom right, a character with pigtails holds an object in one hand, wearing a turtleneck and shorts with a tail sticking out; the note reads “Red – Hair Ribbons & Turtleneck (‘letter’ sweater).” At the bottom left, a taller, thinner character wears a baggy cardigan with big pockets and a possible necklace, labeled “Mokey – baggy ‘cardigan,’ big pockets, necklace?” The paper has faint horizontal lines and a textured wall visible in the background.A display case in a museum showcases a collection of colourful puppets from various projects labeled “LATER PROJECTS (1995–TODAY)” above the case. Two large puppets sit on top: a grey donkey wearing a red fez on the left and a brown camel with a red hat and tassels on the right. Inside the case, an array of puppets is arranged in two rows and on tree branches. The top row includes a large blue elephant dressed in bright clothing, a yellow character with a red hat, and a lemur perched on a branch with a long striped tail. The bottom row features a white-bearded elderly man puppet with glasses, a child puppet in casual clothes, a small brown animal, and two elaborately dressed puppets with long orange and blue beards and tall ornate hats. Floating above them are a mosquito and a small bird puppet. The backdrop is a simple white interior with spotlights illuminating the figures.
