Well, I’m going back to #Bermuda for a small holiday. I lived there for a bit, about 25 years ago… so it’s been a while. I’m trying to ease back into doing some travelling, and going somewhere familiar seemed like a good step. I’m anxious and excited, both in good measure.

A red flag featuring the Union Jack in the top left corner and a white shield on the right side. The shield displays a red lion holding a smaller shield that depicts a wooden ship wrecked on rocks with blue waves and clouds around it. The red lion stands above the shield on a grassy green base. The design combines maritime elements with the heraldic lion motif. An antique, hand-coloured map titled “Le Bermudi” showing the islands of Bermuda, surrounded by the ocean shaded in blue. The map is oriented with north at the top, labelled “Settentrione,” and south at the bottom, labelled “Mezzo Giorno.” The surrounding seas are named “Mare Della Nuova Francia” at the top, “Occidene” on the left, and “Oriente” on the right. Various geographic features and settlements are marked, including “The Great Sound, Siue Parsi I,” “Latum Freum,” “Hamilton,” “Pagets,” “Hampton Warwick,” “Isola Devono,” “St. David,” and “Southampton Harbour Siue Southampton Portu.” Several smaller islands are illustrated, such as “Daniels Island” and “Ibernia.” A decorative compass rose and a coat of arms with a red, white, green, and black shield appear in the lower right corner, framed by ornate scrollwork. A scale marked “Scala de dieci Stadj” is included at the bottom left. The map has a red border and shows signs of aging, with visible foxing and faded edges.
