δράκων, Drakon

The word dragon comes from the Greek δράκων, Drakon, and means simply serpent or serpentine. Beasts called by this name, and Draco in Latin, are largely snake-like during Antiquity, with some variations, such as hundred-headed Ladon. #FolkyFriday (via @Godyssey@pagan.plus)
