  • Here’s a #tbt! That’s my dad and my grandmother. I would guess it’s about 1923 and somewhere in Saskatchewan.

  • Happy #BurnsNight! In 1902, the Burns Literary Society of Toronto presented the City with a life-size statue of Scottish poet Robert Burns, which still stands at the east end of #AllanGardens to this day. #tbt Image: Toronto Public Library Archives (via @FOAllanGardens) (at Allan Gardens Park and Conservatory)

  • So, in going through some keepsakes, I found my dad’s binoculars. The address, written in my dad’s hand, says “A. L. Day, YMCA, Salisbury Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong.” I think he went in 1963. Shortly after this, he would have moved into the boarding house where he met the cute young nurse who lived downstairs, my mom. #tbt #hongkong

  • Left to Right: Aunt Dorothy, Uncle Doug, Grandmother Charlotte, Dad Alfred, Grandfather David, Aunt Thora, circa 1927. My Grandmother was deaf. Apparently, when she was young, the boys would tease her, saying, “Lottee Lee, come sit by me!” Devastating at the time, I’m sure! #tbt
